Tutoring Services

Peer tutors assist students to improve their basic writing skills. Tutors will not do the editing, proofreading, or polishing for writing mechanics; instead, they assist writers find their own usage errors and help writers feel more confident about editing and proofreading their own work. Students are welcome to walk in to the Writing Center or make an appointment. Faculty members are encouraged to refer students.

Consulting Services

Each semester the Writing Center presents writing-related workshops focusing on language awareness, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, style, and research style sheets.

The Writing Center also sponsors a W-component faculty workshop.
