Language and Culture SeminarsARABIC A Taste of Arabic. This seminar offers an introduction to the Arabic language and culture. Participants will be offered the opportunity to sample ethnic dishes. Dates: May 4, 11, 18 and 25 Time: 7:00-9:00 P.M. Dates: Humanities Center 320 Cost: $200 CHINESE Chinese Language and Culture. This seminar offers an introduction to Chinese language and culture. Visual materials will be included, and participants will explore the structure of the Chinese language. Dates: May 6 and 13 Time: 6:00-9:00 P.M. Dates: Humanities Center 302 Cost: $150 FRENCH Bon Voyage. An introduction to French-speaking countries, their cultures and their language. Specific customs will be discussed as well as the corresponding expressions. Date: May 15 Time: 1:30-4:30 P.M. Location: Humanities Center 302 Cost: $90 GERMAN Potsdam, Germany. United Nations World Cultural Heritage Site and Sioux Falls Sister City. Get to know the place and the people through first-hand accounts. Date: May 15 Time: 9:30-11:30 A.M. Location: Humanities Center 302 Cost: Cost: $60 SPANISH Wine Tasting "Made in Spain". An Introduction to wine tasting and how to use your senses to evaluate a wine, with a focus on Spanish wine.
