Augustana’s Music Department provides a comprehensive education that prepares students for professional music careers and graduate study. Our graduates have continued their studies at Indiana University, University of Rochester-Eastman School of Music, Iowa University, Southern Methodist University, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Manhattan School of Music, among other institutions.

In addition to entering instrumental and vocal performance careers, our music graduates are employed as elementary music teachers, middle and high school band and choral conductors, composers, conductors, music therapists, librarians, journalists, recording industry professionals, technicians and more.
