- 2016 Augustana graduates reported working in 18 states and seven countries around the world.
- Of the graduates who secured employment and reported their geographical location, 60 percent were working in South Dakota.
- Recognized by Forbes among the best small place for business and careers, and by Ziprecruiter.com as the No. 1 up-and-coming city for college grads, Sioux Falls continues to offer a labor market many graduates find appealing. Fifty-eight percent of employed 2016 AU graduates chose to remain in Sioux Falls.
- Augustana has long been considered a net importer of intellectual capital to both the state of South Dakota and the city of Sioux Falls, contributing to its workforce development and labor market. The state of South Dakota retained 46 percent of the non-residents enrolled at Augustana. Of the graduates originally from South Dakota, 79 percent were retained in the state’s workforce.
