New Student Registration
The transition from high school to college is an exciting step that is looked upon with great anticipation. At Augustana, we want this transition to be smooth for both students and parents, so we offer an orientation to the College and the services provided here. This includes meeting some of the people who play an important role in your success.
The primary purpose of registration day is to provide students with an opportunity to meet with an advisor to review their fall schedule of classes. You will have the opportunity ahead of time to tell us which courses you prefer to take. This one-on-one meeting is a good time to ask questions and make necessary adjustments.
There will be two presentations offered just for parents. Staff from Student Services will provide a special session where issues of transition to college will be discussed. Staff from the Business Office and Financial Aid Office will also present information and be available to answer individual questions.
Nearly all students planning to attend college have questions about living on campus. You and your parents will have the opportunity to visit with Residence Life personnel and to visit both freshman residence halls. Staff from Dining Services, Computer Technology, Campus Safety, the Bookstore, and Student Health and Counseling will also be available to respond to your questions.
