To be considered for scholarships at Augustana, students must complete the free Application for Admission and Scholarships. Students must be full-time and in good academic standing to maintain these scholarships. Augustana University scholarships are awarded to assist with direct educational costs for tuition, fees, university-owned housing and board. For more information, view our policy.
The following scholarships are awarded to students based on their application for admission. No other application is necessary.
Augustana Transfer Scholarship
- Available to: Awarded to students who transfer to Augustana from another institution after one full semester of coursework.
- Amount available: $15,000 to $23,000 per year
- Application form: Application for Admission and Scholarships.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Scholarship
- Available to: Incoming transfer students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa honors program.
- Amount available: $2,000 per year, renewable
- Application form: Application for Admission and Scholarships. Please indicate on your admission application that you are a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honors program at your current institution.
Diversity Scholarship
- Available to: Full-time domestic students of color.
- Amount available: $1,000, renewable
- Application form: Verify your eligibility with the Office of Admission or Financial Aid.
Alumni Legacy Award
- Available to: Awarded to full-time, degree-seeking students whose parent, grandparent, sibling, or spouse earned a bachelor's or master's degree from Augustana.
- Amount available: $1000 per year, renewable.
- Application form: Verify your eligibility with the Office of Admission or Financial Aid.
Family Tuition Grant
- Available to: Full-time students who have an immediate family member enrolled full-time at Augustana.
- Amount available: $500 per year when immediate family member enrolled full time
- Application form: Verify your eligibility with the Office of Admission or Financial Aid.
The following scholarships have additional requirements beyond the application for admission.
All-State Music Scholarship
- Available to: Those earning All-State honors in their respective state.
- Amount available: $3,000 per year, renewable
- Application form: Complete the music scholarship form.
Marching Band Scholarship
- Available to: Those interested in joining the Augustana Marching Band
- Amount available: $3,000 per year, renewable
- Application form: Complete the music scholarship form.
Pro-Musica and Studio Scholarships
- Available to incoming and transfer students based on performance, audition or conductor recommendation.
- Amount available: $3,000 to $8,000 per year, renewable

Military and Veteran Assistance
Designated as both a Yellow Ribbon School and a Veteran Friendly School, Augustana University is committed to assisting veterans in their pursuit of postsecondary education. The University also participates in the Air Force ROTC program for students who are interested in military careers. Veterans and their families can utilize the traditional GI Bill® as well as the Post 911 GI Bill benefits for tuition and fees at Augustana.
