Outright Gifts of Cash

Your check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) is welcome.

You may spread out your larger cash gifts over a period of time. You may make annual, semi-annual or quarterly payments on a pledge – or use a pre-authorized monthly draft from your bank.

A gift of appreciated property (stocks, mutual funds or real estate) can be transferred to Augustana by your broker or investment advisor with the assistance of a member of the Development staff.

Planned Gift Opportunities
Remembering Augustana in your estate plan provides tax benefits and the satisfaction of helping ensure Augustana’s future as a quality institution. Individuals who make planned gift arrangements become members of the Augustana Heritage Club.

Planned gifts include bequests through wills or living trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, property deeded with life estate retained, and charitable lead trusts.

Matching Gifts
Gift matching programs offer an easy way for Augustana alumni and friends to double their personal contributions to the College.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provides gift matching opportunities for holders of their contracts. They will match gifts between $50 and $400 per policyholder, per calendar year for up to two members. Contact the Development Office for an official form.

More than 970 companies offer matching gift programs, often on a one-to-one match. Your human resources office can tell you if your company participates, and provide you a form.
