- All current students and employees are required to participate. All current student, faculty and staff Augustana University issued e-mail addresses (@ole.augie.edu or @augie.edu) have been downloaded into the Augustana Emergency Notification System database.
- Students and employees will receive alerts during those terms when they are registered for class or employed by the university.
- Students and employees will be able to confirm or update their emergency notification information for the Augustana Emergency Notification System at anytime by clicking the appropriate link above. Students and employees need their Augustana University user name and password to access their information.
The Augustana Emergency Notification System is the University’s emergency notification system. We will use this system to inform you of emergencies, the actions to take and where to turn for additional information and updates. This automated system allows Augustana University officials the ability to notify you quickly using one or more of the following methods:
- Voice Messages
- Text Messages
By registering your cell phone number with the university you will receive emergency text messages alerting you of a current or imminent threat. Your cell phone must have text messaging capabilities. Augustana University will use this information for emergency communication purposes only. Augustana University encourages you to select a unique ring tone on your cell phone for the Augustana Emergency Notification System messages; which will always be sent from the same number - 23177.
