Mission of the Alumni Council:

"Fostering Pride and Enhancing Commitment
Among Alumni and Friends of Augustana"

The Augustana College Alumni Council is the official voice of the Augustana College Alumni Association, representing more than 20,000 alumni from around the nation and world. The members of the Council serve renewable, three-year terms during which they attend meetings on campus during Viking Days and commencement weekend. Members of the Council also provide leadership for alumni programs here and in their respective hometown areas. Thanks to the Alumni Council, Viking Days now includes events such as class reunions, the Alumni Banquet, and the Afterglow celebration. The Alumni Council also selects recipients to receive the Alumni Achievement Award, the Horizon Award, and Alumni Service Honor. The Council also selects the Hall of Fame Committee, which recognizes alums and friends who have been outstanding in athletic achievement or service to athletics.

The Alumni Council has three active committees that members serve on: Awards, Council Development and Viking Days and Campus Events.
