A. E-mail us at alumni@augie.edu A. Call us at (605) 274-4904 or use the On-line Update Form Q. How many alumni does Augie have? A. Augustana has more than 20,000 alumni. Q. Where do Augustana alumni live? A. Augustana alumni can be found in all 50 states, Canada, and several foreign countries. Many have stayed in the region, with 4,000 grads in Sioux Falls and 2,000 more throughout South Dakota. Our second largest population of alumni is the Minneapois/St. Paul area.

A. Tickets for Vespers become available in mid-October. They can be purchased by calling the campus box office at (605) 274-4613.
A. Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Sioux Falls Arena. Baccalaureate is at 10:00 AM in the Elmen Center. Q. How are the athletic teams doing? A. Check out Augustana Athletics Q. How do I get the address of one of my classmates or friends? A. Please call the Office of Alumni Relations at (605) 274-4904. We use discretion in giving out addresses and screen all requests. Q. How do I get my e-mail address included in the Alumni section on the Augustana Web site? A. E-mail us at alumni@augie.edu, please include your name, class year, and e-mail address. We'll add new names and addresses each month. Q. How can I make a gift to the College? A. Check out How to make a gift Q. How do I nominate someone for an Alumni or Hall of Fame award? A. Call the Alumni Office at (605) 274-4904 for an official nomination form or use the online Alumni & Friend Awards nomination form Q. When does the next Augustana Today come out? A. The Today is a quarterly publication. One is sent to alumni and friends in September, December, March, and June. Q. When are Class Agent letters sent out? A. Letters are sent in June and December each year. Included with the June letter is Homecoming information. Q. I am interested in an Augustana College ring, what do I do? A. You can order through the Augustana College Bookstore (605) 274-4417. Please see the Augustana Merchandise for more information and a picture of the ring. Q. I am interested in an Augustana College credit card through Bank of America, what do I do? A. Apply today for the Augustana College Platinum Plus MasterCard credit card. Learn more about this exclusive offer available to Augustana College Alumni! The Alumni Association receives a small amount for each new card as well as for each purchase made with the card. The money supports alumni programming, including Viking Days. Q. What percentage of alumni support the College? A. In 2006 25% of our alumni supported the College. We are working to continually increase that number and need everyone's help. Q. What is the importance of a strong percentage of alumni who give to the College? A. Foundations examine how many alumni support colleges when determining who they support. Strong alumni participation increases our chances for foundation support. Q. Why is it that Augustana contacts me only for money? A. While it is true that the College encourages alumni support through mailings and events, the College sends three times more mail for information purposes than it does for fundraising. Class letters, the Augustana Today, and invitations to College activities far outnumber solicitations. Q. How many students are enrolled at Augustana? A. Augustana has a total enrollment of 1800 students. Q. What is the enrollment for this fall's incoming class? A. Fall 2007 enrollment is 425 students. Q. How can I get information sent to my child who is a prospective student? A. Contact the Office of Admission at (605) 274-5516/email admission@augie.edu. For more information, please see the Prospective Student information on the Web. Q. Is is true that children of Augustana Alumni automatically get a grant to attend? A. Yes, if you hold a degree from Augie, your son or daughter automatically receives an Alumni Legacy Grant of $500 per year toward tuition. Q. What percentage of Augustana students receive financial aid? A. More than 90 percent of Augustana students receive some kind of financial assistance including scholarships, grants, and work-study. Q. If I know of a student who may be interested in learning more about Augustana what do I do? A. We encourage you to contact the Office of Admission at (605) 274-5516/email admission@augie.edu. They will ask for specific information about the student including graduation year, interests, and a mailing address. Alumni often recommend students to Augie and we encourage you to do so. Q. I am interested in serving on the Alumni Council, what do I do? A. Please contact the Alumni Office for an interest form. New members are selected in the spring of each year. An on-line form is available. Q. I want to help plan my class reunion, what do I do? A. Please contact us by e-mailing alumni@augie.edu or let your class agent know.
