The Center encourages and supports performances of liturgical music by campus musicians and professionals — as well as discussions — on the impact of the arts in worship.

• An April 2011 performance of the Fauré Requiem during the Palm Sunday Concert featured both the Augustana Choir and the Augustana Orchestra.
• In March 2011, the Chamber Choir and student actors premiered "St. Mark Passion," a cantata created by Augustana faculty that is based on the suffering of the Messiah according to the Gospel of Mark.
• Campus music ensembles have joined Sioux Falls congregations for worship on Sesqui-Sundays, an important opportunity to share the musical talents of our outstanding students with area congregations in honor of our 150th anniversary (2010-2011).
• In December 2010, the Augustana Chamber Choir performed "The Song of Luke" by Cyprian Consiglio.
• In October 2010, organist Aaron David Miller participated in Augustana's Fall Choral Concert and Hymn Sing.
• Benjamin Britten's "Abraham and Isaac" was performed by Augustana faculty in April 2010 as a part of the Akeda Conference.
• In September 2009, the campus hosted Cyprian Consiglio as he lectured and performed his music in "Compassionate and Wise."
• In November 2008, the campus arranged a Conference on the Liturgical Arts featuring lectures by Dr. Jeremy Begbie, systematic theologian and Associate Director for the Institute of Theology, Imagination and the Arts at Cambridge University, England, and a hymn festival by Mark Sedio, Director of Music at Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, MN. More than 125 people participated from the campus and region.
