2013 Viking Days Central Committee Application

You and your partner need to complete separate forms.


The Viking Days Central Committee is divided into 8 co-lead committees

Campus Events: This committee plans the campus event to take place on the Monday (Ole Stock), Tuesday and Friday evening of Homecoming week. You would book awesome entertainment, delicious food, and a rocking DJ.

Decorations: This committee plans campus wide decorations for the week of homecoming based on the theme.

Dignitaries: This committee works closely with the alumni office to contact dignitaries and on-campus dignitaries like ASA president, UBG Head Governor, etc. You would invite the digs to the Viking Days activities, find fancy cars for the parade, and organize the dignitary breakfast.

Floats: This committee organizes float building by picking the location and providing decorations, food, and a DJ. You would also find flatbeds for the Augie organizations to use in the parade.

Parade: This committee plans the parade route, finds parade bands/entertainment, and finds outside units that would like to participate in the Viking Days parade.

Personnel: This committee organizes committee bonding, designs committee apparel, and promotes Viking Days through Twitter and Facebook.

Publicity: This committee informs the student body about Viking Days activities. You would make poster advertisements, fill mailboxes with student invites, and design the Viking Days button/other promotional items.

Royalty: This committee organizes voting, plans and hosts Coronation, and provides a “meet the candidates”.

Sales: This committee designs and sells Viking Days apparel and products to students and alumni.
