Stavig Hall is one of two identical buildings, affectionately called "The Towers" (Granskou Hall being the other). Stavig is an upperclass, co-ed residence hall, named for Lawrence M. Stavig, Augustana's 15th president.
Stavig rooms are 14' 5" by 9' 9" + 22" under the desk area.
The following furniture is provided in each room.
- Twin XL beds
- Desk chairs
- Microchill unit
The room furniture is modular, meaning there are a variety of ways it can be configured. Check out this video for room arrangement ideas.
- Lounges on each floor
- Computer lab
- Rec room with cable TV
- Laundry facilities
- Pool and foosball tables
- Vending machines
Stavig is staffed by eight Viking Advisors (VAs) and there is also a professional area director that oversees Stavig and Tuve halls. While you can usually find staff in the hall throughout the day, designated VAs are required to be on call and accessible to students every night after 5 pm.
