An Introduction

     Located in Humanities 220, the Writing Center is available to all students at Augustana College. Here, you will receive help from nationally certified peer tutors.

     Tutors can:

  • Help you with any writing assignments (not just English).
  • Discuss your writing assignments with you to help you understand what is required.
  • Assist you to think through and develop your ideas.
  • Help you organize your information and plan your paper.
  • Suggest strategies to help you edit and proofread effectively.

     Call to set up a weekly appointment time or stop in during the drop-in hours for help with any writing assignment.

The Writing Center's Mission Statement
The Writing Center promotes writing across the curriculum at Augustana College by offering writing related workshops for faculty and students as well as classroom presentations that support W component classes, and by providing tutor services to any enrolled Augustana student.
