Carl Grupp received his MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington. He received his BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He also did undergraduate study at School of Associated Arts, St. Paul, Minnesota and Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Carl has won many awards and distinctions including Who's Who in American Art and numerous other local and national awards. He has been selected to participate in over a hundred exhibitions, most recently including The Narrative Impulse: The Works of Carl Grupp & James Munce at the University of New Hampshire. His work is also in the collections of the Chicago Art Institute, Chicago, Illinois, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minneapolis, Minnesota, South Dakota Art Museum, Brookings, South Dakota, and many other local and national museums. He specializes in printmaking, drawing and watercolor.
