Tom Shields received his MFA from Louisiana Tech and did post graduate work at Southern Methodist University, Dallas; Vermont Studio School (Philadelphia College of Art) and Kent State University, Ohio. A prolific national exhibition record includes: the 52nd Annual National Midyear Exhibition, Youngstown, Ohio; Showcase, Louisville Ky; New American Talent, Austin, TX; La Grange National, La Grange, Georgia; and numerous one-person exhibitions. He specializes in graphic design and oil painting. Computer programs taught include After Effects (animation/film), Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, and Quark XPress.
