My internship experience taught me many valuable lessons dealing with real-life situations.  Accounting is a profession which relies heavily on practice and application of classroom concepts.  Interning for a local public accounting firm showed me how classroom discussions are used on a daily and regular basis.  Everything studied in a textbook really does occur in the business environment and every decision made will have an impact.  After the completion of my internship, I feel more confident and experienced heading out into the job market after graduation.
