U. S. Army Recruiting
Glen Landeen, Class of 2010

My internship was with the United States Army Recruiting station in Sioux Falls. The experience was a complete immersion into the recruiting process. From the activities associated with prospecting to the completion of contracts and preparation for the future soldier’s ship date, the opportunities for learning were ever present. Preparing SWOT reports and ROP (recruiting operation plans) were a few of the tasks assigned. This internship is similar what one might experience in a human resources department with the stereotypical military influence. While I would recommend this internship for anybody interested in the military, there is a requirement that potential interns be contracted with the Army. This is to avoid the release of sensitive information to anyone outside of the Department of Defense community.
