NonProfit Management emphasisThe education and resources provided by this emphasis will have a marked impact on our future nonprofit leaders. Many students at Augustana College have expressed enthusiasm for a career in the nonprofit sector. While these courses are rooted in the fundamentals of managing people and leading organizations, students will also incorporate how the ever changing political environment has vast implications on this sector. Students will begin their studies in their sophomore year with Principles of Accounting and Business Technology & Communication. During their junior year, students will continue their principles courses with Management, Marketing & Finance. In addition they will also study Statistics, Ethics and their first course in Nonprofit Management. In their senior year, studies include Business Law, Nonprofit Accounting, Organizational Development and an Internship. In addition Augustana students will be required to take other business elective courses to supplement their nonprofit studies.
