The computer science and MIS programs provide graduates with the
skills and knowledge to enter directly into a computer-related career
or to move onto a graduate program. As the use of computers increases,
the prospects for computer-related career opportunities are excellent.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics through the year
2005, the fastest growing career positions will include systems
analysts and computer programmers.
Over the last ten years, approximately 10% of our graduates have
entered graduate programs in computer science at many institutions
including University of Minnesota, University of Arizona, University
of Wisconsin, and University of South Dakota.
For the graduates who went into the work force, many of them had
several offers from which to choose. The computer science department
has always enjoyed an excellent placement record.
