The
English Major
The English Department offers two major
tracks, one which concentrates on literature and one on writing. The
recommended schedule for the first two years is the same for both courses of
study, though students may adjust their itinerary to meet their personal
interests, course availability, or other individual factors. Due to the
overlap between the two tracks, it will be possible to put off a definitive
choice for some time, but students should be aware that not all courses are offered
every year and scheduling conflicts may occur.
