Nancy Dickinson, director of the Writing Center, received her M.A.T. in English from Augustana College and the Ed.S. in developmental studies from Appalachian State University. For the English department, she instructs courses in composition and grammar. Nancy also offers a hatha yoga class in the P.E. department and college success classes for the department of Academic Development. She has presented numerous writing-related workshops in the local community on the process of writing, grammar, and usage. She is also a free-lance editor. Nancy joined the English department in 1980.
When not camping at the cabin in Wisconsin or pulling crabgrass from her perennials, Nancy and her spouse can be found walking Otto and Elle Mae, their two dachshunds (both of whom received social promotions from canine college) or training Elle Mae for the annual wiener dog races.
