Graduate Degrees in Education
The Education Department offers graduate cohort programs designed for the intended cohort group. Cohorts, offered on a rotational basis depending on need and staff resource, may be offered in the following areas: Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, or Youth Educateur.
The graduate degree programs in the Education Department emulate the Circle of Courage philosophy focusing on belonging, mastery, generosity, and independance. Programs are designed to enhance an individual's ability to create positive learning environments for learners by building classrooms and schools that promote belonging, mastery, generosity, and independance. To that end, these programs provide in-depth knowledge and application of educational research to classroom practice. The Integrative Studies component of the master's degree programs enable students to interface a liberal arts perspective with rigorous, professional education training.
