The Department of Modern Foreign Languages is located in the Humanities Center on the campus of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A member of the Association of Departments of Foreign Languages (ADFL), the Department promotes a comprehensive assessment plan, based in part on proficiency guildelines established by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), and follows an annual process in which the applicability of those guidelines are reviewed by the department.

The Department is proud to announce the Celebration of Cultures series this semester. Students, faculty, staff and members of the Sioux Falls community are invited to attend. All events are free so please join us! You can choose to view, to download and/or to subscribe to the calendar. Download the calendar and events directy to your iPod®.
