Dual Degree Engineering (Washington University in St. Louis)

All dual degree programs require that the student complete the general education requirements of Augustana College, with the one exception being that Capstone (Area 4.3) is waived. A major must also be completed at Augustana, but it is common for many departments to allow one or more courses to be transferred back from the engineering school in order to complete major requirements.

The following courses should be completed at Augustana College if you wish to participate in the dual degree engineering program with Washington University in St. Louis .

All engineering majors require:
MATH 151, 152, 153, 310
PHYS 221, 222
CHEM 120, 135
COSC 210
Humanities and Social Sciences: No fewer than 18 credits in approved areas. This must include an Area of Emphasis consisting of eight semester hours in one department, with at least one course at the junior/senior level.

Biomedical Engineering also requires:
BIOL 120, 121, 234

Chemical Engineering also requires:
CHEM 201, 202

Civil Engineering also requires:
Engineering Mechanics I (Note that Washington University has discontinued the Interim term offering of the course in the last few years.)

Mechanical Engineering also requires:
