Summer Research 2007 - Six physics majors are among the over fifty Augustana students engaged in scientific research projects this summer.
Student Research Highlighted at National Meeting - Work done by Augustana students Laura Doshier and Amy Lueking, in collaboration with undergraduates at Kansas State University, was the subject of an invited talk at the 2007 DAMOP meeting . The Augustana/KSU collaboration is one of five selected for this honor. Augustana's Jamie Kapplinger was selected in 2006.
Grant Award - Augie's Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics group receives NSF-RUI award, providing funds for undergraduate research through 2010.
Deep Underground Lab - NSF selects Homestake site.
National Science Foundation Award - The Augustana phyiscs and chemistry departments receive an NSF award to add laser spectroscopy experiments to undergraduate lab courses. An update on the project progress may be found here.

NPURC - The physics department is part of the National Science Foundation funded Northern Plains Undergraduate Research Collaboration.
