What can I do with a Psychology major?
Psychology majors find employment in a variety of settings, including mental health services, social services, medical services, college student services, research institutions, college and university teaching, law and law enforcement, religious ministries, and business and industry. Careers in psychology proper (e.g., research psychologist, counselor/therapist/clinical psychologist, psychology professor) typically involve additional graduate training.
Graduates of Augustana's Psychology Department have found themselves in many places following graduation, including graduate programs in Psychology, Counseling, and Occupational Therapy, in Law School, and in a variety of human services-related settings.
