Book Reading, Discussion With Ron Capps and Patrick Hicks

Join us for a reading by Ron Capps, author and founder/director of the Veterans Writing Project, and Dr. Patrick Hicks, Augustana's writer-in-residence and author of the new short story collection, "The Collector of Names," at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, in the Siverson Lounge, located inside Augustana's Morrison Commons. Dr. Joel Johnson (political science/government and international affairs) will provide introductory comments. The event is free and open to the public.

Rendezvous Presentation on Fiji

Students present on their various home countries at 3 p.m. on Fridays as part of the Rendezvous Program. The events, which are hosted by the International Program Office and Augustana International Club, are free and open to the public.

35th Annual Artists of the Plains Show and Sale

Sponsored by the Center for Western Studies, the show will feature works by local and regional artists, is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Holiday Inn City Centre in downtown Sioux Falls.

Annual Jazz on the Upper Great Plains

The Augustana Northlanders Jazz Band, along with bands from 46 area high schools and middle schools, will perform during the 41st Annual Jazz on the Upper Great Plains Festival, set for March 2-3 at Augustana's Kresge Recital Hall.

The 27th annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum will take place in Minneapolis on March 6-8. The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is a unique civic learning experience that brings Nobel Laureates, civic leaders, and scholars together with students and other citizens.
