    College/Community Concert Band in Anniversary Performance

    The Augustana College/Community Concert Band celebrates its 20th anniversary in concert on May 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Elmen Center. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception follows the performance.

  • Student Soloists Featured in Concerto-Aria Concert

    The 2009 Concerto-Aria Concert will be held Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church in Sioux Falls. The four participating students were selected from auditions held in February.

    Augustana's Symposium on Philosophical Naturalism

    Dr. Charles Taliaferro of St. Olaf College is a Christian philosopher of religion who has been a Visiting Scholar at Oxford, Princeton, Columbia, and New York University. He will be the keynote today Augustana's Philosophy Club will host a Symposium on Philosophical Naturalism.

  • Free Public Lectures on Indian Philosophy

    On Tuesday, May 5, Dr. David Scott will give two lectures on Indian Philosophy. Dr. Scott taught philosophy in Bangalore, India for 40 years and is the author of a number of books and articles on Indian thought.

    Dr. Michael Ezra of Sonoma State University, a specialist in the African American experience and civil rights, will be visiting campus for a free public lecture titled, "Muhammad Ali: The Making of an Icon."
