Augustana College Community Service Day

SIOUX FALLS – Augustana College observes its annual Community Service Day on Saturday, October 10.

It’s a day when the College practices two of its five core values – Community and Service. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. in the Morrison Commons Ordal Dining Room. Teams consisting of Augustana faculty, staff, and students will be working at various sites throughout the city from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Project sites include Saint Francis House, Avera Prince of Peace, Glory House, Good Samaritan Village, Children’s Care Hospital & School, YWCA, Food Drive, Humane Society, Bowden Youth Center, The Compass Center, Sioux Falls Seminary, Family Connection, Ronald McDonald House, Leif Ericson, Helpline, Nordland House, and Girl Scouts.

Projects range from outdoor and indoor clean up to baking and making fleece blankets.
