Augustana College Hosts Sioux Falls Town Hall Meeting
On Thursday, October 22, Augustana College students and city residents are invited to share their opinions about what Sioux Falls should look like in 10, 20, or even 30 years. The hour-long event at the Augustana Elmen Center (corner of 26th Street and Grange) is open to the public and begins at 6:30 p.m.—with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.
The Sioux Falls Next Town Hall Meeting is the culmination of a months-long, multimedia project launched by the Argus Leader to gather ideas from residents about the city’s future as it continues to grow.
Through videos, e-mails and listening posts, the Sioux Falls Next project has gathered more than 100 comments from residents across the city. Three major themes of residents’ suggestions—streets and transportation, quality of life, and future facilities—provide the focus for the town hall meeting. The meeting’s goal is to help set an agenda that will be delivered to city leaders and provide the focus for ongoing media coverage.
