On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, April 13-15, 2010, nationally-known scholars representing Jewish, Muslim, and Christian points of view will discuss the Old Testament story of Abraham and the sacrificial offering of his son Isaac.

Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope youth basketball tournament
Dates: Friday, March 19, 2010 - Sunday, March 21, 2010
The Augustana/Sanford Sports 'Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope' youth basketball tournament is March 19-21 at the Elmen Center. Fifty percent of the admission fee benefits the local Food Pantry as well as the overseas organization World Vision.

Alumna to Present Public Lecture on Christianity at the Intersections

Caryn Riswold, class of 1993, returns to campus on Thursday, March 11, to give a public lecture entitled Christianity at the Intersections. Riswold will also be signing copies of her latest book, Feminism and Christianity: Questions and Answers in the Third Wave.

Jazz On The Upper Great Plains Festival Celebrates 36th Year
Dates: Sunday, March 7, 2010 - Tuesday, March 9, 2010
The Northlanders Jazz Band will perform Monday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Kresge Recital Hall as part of Augustana’s 2010 Jazz on the Upper Great Plains Festival. A pre-festival recital, featuring jazz vibraphone soloist Ted Pitzecker, will be held Sunday afternoon.

Nobel Peace Prize Forum March 5-6 at Augsburg College

The 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Forum registration is open to the public and the deadline has been extended to Monday, March 1st, 5:00 p.m. Register online at www.peaceprizeforum.org for this year's Forum entitled, "Striving for Peace: A question of will" on the campus of Augsburg College in Minneapolis, March 5-6.
