Celebrate Freshmen-Parent Weekend

Family of first-year Augustana students are encouraged to join us for Freshmen-Parent Weekend on September 24-26. This weekend is dedicated to welcoming parents to campus and into their student’s life. Planned activities include a football game, soccer game, a workshop event, games, and more.

4:30-5:30 p.m. Join us for the Fleece Blanket Project — Solberg and Bergsaker lobbies
6:00-8:00 p.m. Bingo Night — Bergsaker Rec Room
8:00-10:00 p.m. Ultimate Game Night — the Back Alley
Saturday,
Sept. 25		  
10:00-11:00 a.m. Strengths Finder Workshop with Lois Hoogeveen — Bergsaker Rec Room
Find out all about Strengths Finder - a unique assessment taken by your student earlier this month and used in the New Student Seminars. Contact us at sservice@augie.edu and we’ll send you information about how you can take the Strengths Finder assessment online before the workshop.

1:00 p.m. Vikings Football vs. Southwest Minnesota State — Kirkeby-Over Stadium
7:00-9:00 p.m. West Mall Movie Night — West Mall (at corner of West Ave. and 41st St.)
10:00 p.m. Join us for late-night Family Feud — Elmen Center

Family Weekend Worship — Chapel of Reconciliation
You are invited to join us for worship service.
1:00 p.m. Women's Soccer vs. Wayne State — Soccer Complex

The Augustana Bookstore is open these hours:

  • Friday, September 24: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 25: 10:00 a.m. - Noon
    (also selling merchandise at the football game in the afternoon)
  • Sunday, September 26: closed
