Goo Goo Dolls to Perform on Campus
Tickets can be purchased at www.augietickets.com and are $16 for Augustana students and $32.50 for non-students. All tickets are general admission.
The Goo Goo Dolls and Augustana College are sponsoring a food drive prior to the concert for Feeding South Dakota, the statewide organization that supports food pantries in Sioux Falls and Rapid City. The individual who donates the most food will win a meet-and-greet with Goo Goo Dolls band members before the concert.
Founded in 1986 in Buffalo, New York, the Goo Goo Dolls have sold more than 10 million albums and have scored 13 top-10 songs, including “Iris,” which spent nearly 18 weeks as No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Their new studio album, Something For The Rest Of Us, was released August 31 on Warner Bros. Records. In conjunction with its release, the band performed their current single "Home," on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Sept. 1, and on TBS's Lopez Tonight on Sept. 13.
The Spill Canvas was founded by Sioux Falls native Nick Thomas. The Band’s 2005 album, “One Fell Swoop,” sold more than 50,000 copies.
The event is organized by the Augustana Union Board of Governors (UBG). The Union Board of Governors is a student-led organization serving the Augustana Community by programming activities that entertain, engage, and enlighten.
