May 10: College/Community Band to Premier Commissioned Work

The Augustana College/Community Band, under the direction of Dr. Paul Schilf, presents its last concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, in the Elmen Center. The concert will feature the world premiere of "Irish Fanfare" by Quincy C. Hilliard, a work commissioned by the Band in loving memory of Erik Ferguson, a former member of the Band and euphonium player.

"Jubiloso" by Philip Sparke
"Dreams" by Robert W. Smith
"A Tribute to Gershwin" arranged by Jack Bullock
"Quatre Fantasie" by Scott Director
"Oxford Street March" by Eric Coates, arranged by Douglas Wagner
"Gateway City March" by Karl L. King, arranged by Andrew Glover

Tickets are $5 for general admission and free for Augustana students and faculty and students K-12 with valid identification. They can be purchased in advance at or by calling the Box Office at 605.274.5320.

The Elmen Center is located at the corner of 33rd Street and Grange Avenue on the Augustana campus.
