Nov. 13: Students to Present Opera Theatre
Selections from three beloved and well-known operas will be featured in the fall presentation by Augustana's Opera Theatre program beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Kresge Recital Hall.
Dr. Lisa Grevlos, associate professor of music and director of Vocal Studies and Opera Theatre, directs a cast of 15 students in scenes from Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," "The Secret Marriage" by Domenica Cimarosa and "The Elixer of Love" by Gaetano Donizetti.
Students involved in the production include: Carryn Kennedy '16, Centennial, Colo.; Brittany Dardis '15, Sioux Falls; Ariana Groen '14, Willmar, Minn., Christina Johnson '13, Maple Grove, Minn; Jaclyn Schreurs '15, Canton, S.D.; Ian Curtis '16, Sioux City, Iowa; Abby Trei '13, Rock Rapids, Iowa; and Ben Winkler '13, Cottage Grove, Minn.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors. They are free for Augustana students and faculty, and students K-12 with a valid ID. Tickets are available at www.augietickets.com or at the door on the night of the performance.
