The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery presents "Wrapped Up: Paintings and Drawings by Audrey Stommes '10."
The exhibition opened on Thursday, Oct. 17, and runs through Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery. A gallery reception was held on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery with an artist's talk.
Audrey Stommes completed her M.F.A. in studio art from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2013. In her first major solo exhibition, Stommes presents works from her M.F.A. thesis and more recent pieces. The heart of Stommes’s artistic practice is the tradition of drawing, which she expands into monumental pieces with experimental materials. This exhibition features drawings in gouache and ink, including large-scale 5' x 6’ works on Tyvek.
