Location: Edith Mortenson Center Theatre, Augustana University

The 4th Biennial Lithic Materials Workshop is a two-day informal gathering of professionals and avocationals with an interest in all things lithic (or archeology in general). The Feb. 19-20 event in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre is free and open to all.

It is hosted by Augustana’s Archeology Laboratory and the Sioux Falls Chapter of the South Dakota Archaeological Society.

Included, over the two days, will be the following.

Third Sunday Ravenscroft site work


The Sunday, Feb. 21, Third Sunday Archeology Program will feature Dr. K.C. Carlson of Augustana University, on the topic “Folsom Adaptations to Bison Hunting: A Comparison of Northern and Southern Plains Arroyo Trap Kills” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.
