  • Commencement Weekend

    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • Sept. 28: Luncheon to Feature Author of 'Arab Uprising'

    The South Dakota Festival of Books and South Dakota World Affairs Council will present "The Arab Uprising: The Unfinished Revolutions of the New Middle East," a luncheon featuring foreign policy expert and author Dr. Marc Lynch, from Noon-2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, in the 3-in-1 Room in the Morrison Commons.

  • Sept. 26: Homan to Discuss K-12 Education Reform at Forum

    Dr. Pam Homan '81, superintendent for the Sioux Falls School District, will discuss "K-12 Education Reform: The Reality of the Pachyderm and His Family" at the Augustana Thought Leader Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

  • Sept. 22: Percussion Recital Featuring Pennington and Ragsdale

    Dr. John Pennington, professor of music and percussion instructor at Augustana, and Dr. Aaron Ragsdale, assistant professor of percussion and assistant director of Bands at South Dakota State University, will perform together in a percussion recital set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, in Kresge Recital Hall.

  • Sept. 15: Game Day Visit

    Prospective students are invited to experience the Augustana campus and Viking Athletics at the football game against Univ. of Minnesota - Crookston on our Game Day Visit. Prior to cheering on our football team in Kirkeby-Over Stadium, you can learn about Augustana, take a campus tour, and join us for some tailgating.

  • Sept. 15-16: Augustana Community in 'The Magic Flute'

    Dr. Lisa Grevlos, Augustana class of 1987 and associate professor of Music, will direct this weekend's historic production of Mozart's fairytale opera, "The Magic Flute," Sept. 15 and 16, at the Washington Pavilion. The event, presented by Sounds of South Dakota, will feature internationally-renowned bass Samuel Ramey and Sioux Falls natives and Augustana alumni Eric Wassenaar '10 and Alyssa Nance '08 in leading roles.

  • Through Nov. 30: Exhibit Celebrates 25 Years of Northern Plains Indian Art Market

    In honor of the Northern Plains Indian Art Market’s 25th annual show, the Center for Western Studies at Augustana presents the “25th Annual Northern Plains Indian Art Market Exhibit,” a collaborative program featuring the art of NPIAM artists since 1988. The exhibit runs through Friday, Nov. 30.

  • Oct. 5: Reception for Exhibit Featuring 'The Art of Editorial Cartoons'

    The Eide/Dalyrmple Gallery's "The Art of Editorial Cartoons" will feature 70 editorial cartoons by 36 of some of the nation’s most prominent syndicated and freelance editorial cartoonists. The exhibit's closing reception will feature a Q&A with Pulitzer Prize-winner Ann Telnaes of the Washington Post and Dr. Joel Johnson, associate professor of Government and International Affairs, on Friday, Oct. 5.

  • Sept. 4: Convocation to Open 2012-13 Academic Year

    Augustana will mark the beginning of the 2012-2013 academic year during its Opening Convocation at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Dr. David O’Hara, associate professor of philosophy and classics, will give the keynote address.

  • Aug. 25: Women's Football Clinic to 'Tackle Pink'

    The Augustana football program will host its seventh annual women's football clinic on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the President's House and Kirkeby-Over Stadium. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation.
