  • Commencement Weekend

    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • April 1: "Mass of the Children" to Feature The Augustana Choir, Angelus

    The Augustana Choir, under the direction of Dr. Weston Noble, and Angelus (Women's Choir), under the direction of Dr. Lisa Grevlos, accompanied by Deanna Wehrspann, will perform John Rutter's emotional composition "Mass of the Children" at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

  • March 30: Ansel Adams 'Masterworks' Gallery Reception

    The Augustana Alumni Office and the Friends of the Performing and Visual Arts at Augustana will host a private reception of the “Ansel Adams: Masterworks” exhibit in the Everist Gallery of the Pavilion Visual Arts Center at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30. Dr. Lindsay Twa, assistant professor of art and director of the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery, will provide a gallery talk at 7:00 p.m.

  • March 30-31: New Play Festival

    The Claire Donaldson New Play Festival will feature performances of student-authored theatrical works, including original works by Milford, Iowa, native Leah Hilsabeck and Windom, Minn., native Elizabeth Yackel-Juleen, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31, at Augustana’s Edith Mortenson Center Theatre. Admission is free.

  • March 29: WNBA Champ Olympia Scott to Present "I Can, I Must, I Will"

    In recognition of Women's History Month, two-time WNBA champion Olympia Scott will present " I Can, I must, I Will" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, in room 100 of the Gilbert Science Center. The event is free and open to the public.

  • March 28-29: Dr. Monica Coleman to Speak on Campus

    Dr. Monica A. Coleman, associate professor of Constructive Theology and African-American Religions and co-director of the Center for Process Studies at Claremont School of Theology, will speak on sexual violence and faith communities at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, and at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, in the 3-in-1 Room in the Morrison Commons.

  • March 26-30: Last Look Days for Prospective Students

    The Augustana Admission Office encourages prospective students to visit the campus during Last Look Days for a customized visit. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join.

  • March 26-27: Recital to Feature Acclaimed Pianist Juyeon Kang

    Pianist Dr. Juyeon Kang, a concert artist and educator, will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 26, in Kresge Recital Hall. Kang will also hold a free Master Class at 10 a.m.on Tuesday, March 27, also in Kresge. Both events are free and open to the public.

  • March 23: OTA Sessions to Feature Facebook Exec, Master Storyteller

    The 2012 OTA Sessions will feature 10 dynamic speakers, including Paul Adams, global brand experience manager at Facebook, and Jay O'Callahan, a master storyteller dubbed the "Mark Twain of our day." The event is set for Friday, March 23, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.

  • March 18: Adrien Hannus to Discuss Creation Mythology, Shamanism at Third Sunday Archeology

    March's installment of Augustana's Third Sunday Archeology Program will feature Adrien Hannus, professor of Art/Anthropology and director of Augustana's Archeology Lab. Hannus will premiere his film, "The Emergence of Shamanism and the Creation Mythology in Pre-State Societies," followed by a discussion on the earliest evidence of the beginnings of belief systems at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, at the Gilbert Science Center Auditorium (GSC #100).

  • March 17: Augustana Baseball at the Metrodome

    The Augustana baseball team is scheduled to play four games at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn., March 17-20. All baseball alumni, current and former parents, and friends of the baseball program are invited to attend a gathering at the Metrodome during the Saturday, March 17, game versus University of Mary.
