  • Commencement Weekend

    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • April 23: Percussion Concert Featuring Sean Statser

    The second performance in the Poetry of Sound Festival will feature nationally known solo and chamber percussionist, composer and educator Sean Statser, along with Augustana's Dr. John Pennington on percussion and Dr. Timothy Farrell on trumpet, performing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, in Kresge Recital Hall.

  • April 21: Third Sunday Archeology Presents 'Lost Nation' Documentary

    April's installment of Augustana's Third Sunday Archeology Program will feature the documentaries Lost Nation: The Ioway 2 & 3 at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at the Gilbert Science Center Auditorium (GSC #100) on the Augustana campus. The special South Dakota Humanities Council event is free to the public.

  • April 20: 'Gitanjali' World Premiere Features Gamelan, Voice

    The first performance in the Poetry of Sound Festival will feature the world premiere performance of "Gitanjali," a work that pairs original music with poetry. The event will feature the Augustana Percussion Ensemble with internationally known recording artist, performer and composer Cyprian Consiglio and the American Gamelan.   • April 20: Augustana Symposium 2013

    The Augustana Symposium, a gathering that fosters and celebrates student research, will be held on Saturday, April 20, and will feature a keynote address by Dr. Catherine H. Palczewski, professor of Communication Studies and Women's & Gender Studies at the University of Northern Iowa, at 10 a.m. in GSC 100.

  • April 18-19: Augustana Library Associates' Books and More Sale

    The Augustana Library Associates will present their annual Books and More Sale April 18-19 at the Center for Western Studies. A large selection of books, videos, CDs, DVDs and more will be available. The sale runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 18 and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 19.

  • April 18: Band Concert at the Washington Pavilion

    The Augustana Band and the College/Community Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at the Washington Pavilion in downtown Sioux Falls. The concert will feature a solo performance by senior McKenzie Block, a Music Education major.

  • April 16: Opera Theatre

    The Augustana Department of Performing and Visual Arts will present "Opera in 3-D: Drama, Deceit, and Disguise," selections of opera theatre, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in Kresge Recital Hall under the direction of Dr. Lisa Grevlos. Reserve your tickets today at www.augietickets.com.

  • April 14: Joseph Alessi Trombone Recital

    On Sunday, April 14, a recital by New York Philharmonic trombonist Joseph Alessi will be held at 2 p.m. in Kresge Recital Hall on campus. Tickets are available at www.augietickets.com (and free for students K-12 and those with an Augustana ID).

  • April 13: Collegiate Chorale Concert

    The Collegiate Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Russell Svenningsen, will perform their spring concert at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at the Chapel of Reconciliation on campus. 

  • April 13: Neighborhood Cleanup Project

    Following the ice storm that devastated much of Sioux Falls, particularly the city's central neighborhoods, the Augustana Student Association is organizing a neighborhood cleanup project for 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. Students: Meet in the Siverson Lounge.
