• Sioux Falls Business Conference 2011


    The third annual Sioux Falls Business Conference, “Innovation in a Changing Marketplace,” will be held on Wednesday, June 1, at Augustana. The interactive conference will discuss the changing Sioux Falls marketplace and focus on innovation in products, financing, marketing and management.

  • 'Earth as Art' Exhibit at Center for Western Studies

    The Earth as Art 3 collection made its nationwide debut in the Madsen/Nelson/Elmen Galleries of the Center for Western Studies on Tuesday, May 31, and remains on view through Saturday, Aug. 27.

  • Juried Student Invitational


    The annual Juried Student Invitational features a wide range of works by students from Augustana's art classes and additional juried works by photography students. The exhibit will be on view through Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery.

  • Syttende Mai Celebrations Set for May 17


    In honor of the Augustana Sesquicentennial and in recognition of its Norwegian heritage, the College will celebrate Syttende Mai – Norwegian Constitution Day  – on Tuesday, May 17. Commemorative events featuring speakers, Norwegian food and games will be held on campus and at First Lutheran Church.

  • Concerto-Aria Concert with the Augustana Orchestra and Augustana Band

    The annual Concerto-Aria Concert will feature performances by the six student winners of the Augustana Concerto-Aria Competition. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, at the Washington Pavilion’s Mary W. Sommervold Hall.

    In honor of the Sesquicentennial, Augustana is presenting a  “Sesqui-Sunday” performance at Spirit of Peace Congregational Church. The Brass Choir will perform at 10:30 a.m.

  • Froemke Lecture Series to Discuss Impact of Simulation


    Dr. Matthew Leininger '95, deputy for Advanced Technology Projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, will discuss “Changing the Scientific Method: the Impact of Simulation on Scientific Discovery” at the John A. Froemke Chemistry Lecture Series on Friday, May 6.

  • Northlanders Jazz Band, College/Community Band, Jazz Lab to Perform May 5

    The Northlanders Jazz Band will join the College/Community Band at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at the Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center. The concert will also feature the Augustana Jazz Lab.
