  • Commencement Weekend

    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • March 22: Orchestra Concert

    The Augustana Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Christopher Stanichar, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, at the O'Gorman High School Lorang Theatre. The concert will feature performances by Augustana winners of the 2013 Concerto-Aria Competition.

  • March 21: Anderson to Discuss Experiences in China

    Douglas L. Anderson will discuss his experiences in China as part of the Department of Modern Foreign Languages' "Celebration of Cultures" series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, in Humanities 301.

  • March 21: When Mathematics Meets YouTube

    After winning an award from the National Science Foundation and Science magazine, the short film “Möbius Transformations Revealed” went viral, with unexpected and entertaining results. Dr. Jonathon Rogness '98, will describe the behind-the-scenes making of the movie and explore the mathematics it illustrates at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21.

  • March 19: 'American Idol' Winner Phillip Phillips

    Augustana hosted two concerts for "American Idol" winner and top-10 Billboard Hot 100 artist Phillip Phillips at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the Washington Pavilion in downtown Sioux Falls. The 7 p.m. concert was sold out.

  • March 18-22: Verdier 2013

    Augustana will mark the 11th anniversary of the Covenant Award, the honor recognizing students who exemplify its five core values: Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community and Service. One of the College’s core values will be celebrated each day and student Covenant Award nominees will be recognized.

  • March 17: Third Sunday Archeology Presents Bois Forte Ojibwe Study

    The Third Sunday Archeology Program will feature Jeffrey Richner, Park Archeology Program Manager for the National Park Service, Midwest Archeological Center, discussing “The Bois Forte Ojibwe Study, Voyageurs National Park, 1979-2011”  at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, in GSC 100.

  • March 16: Washington Pavilion Exhibit Features Augustana Faculty

    P3 (Painters, Poets & Pavilion) now on display in the Washington Pavilion's Everist Gallery features poetry by Dr. Patrick Hicks and artwork by Scott Parsons and John Peters. A poetry reading and closing reception are set for Saturday, March 16.

  • March 16-17: Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Basketball Tourney

    Sixty area boys' and girls' basketball teams from fourth through ninth grade will shoot hoops for a good cause at the 18th annual Fighting Hunger & Feeding Hope Basketball Tournament, set for March 16-17 at the Elmen Center.

  • March 15: OTA Sessions to Feature National Thought Leaders

    A communications designer for Pinterest, the global creative chief for 20th Century Fox, and the former president of National Geographic Films are among the speakers at the 2013 OTA Sessions, set for Friday, March 15, in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre.

  • March 7: Athletic Club Auction

    The Augustana Athletic Club Auction will be held on Thursday, March 7, at the Sioux Falls Ramkota Inn Exhibit Hall. All of the proceeds from the Athletic Club Auction benefit scholarships for Augustana student-athletes.
