  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • Parker Quartet to Perform on Campus

    The Parker Quartet, Classical Minnesota Public Radio’s first artists-in-residence, performs January 23 in Kresge Recital Hall. Most recently, the group was awarded the prestigious 2009 Cleveland Quartet Award.

  • Augustana Opera Theatre presents ‘Too Many Sopranos’

    Augustana College announces a special performance of the comic opera “Too Many Sopranos.” The opera is performed by the new Augustana Opera Theatre under the direction of Dr. Lisa Grevlos.

  • Racial Issues Focus of ‘Meeting David Wilson’

    David A. Wilson, who traveled deep into his family’s past to find answers to America’s racial divide, speaks at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, in Kresge Recital Hall. Wilson’s presentation is titled “Meeting David Wilson, A Conversation About Race in America.”

  • Historic Record of Tattooing Subject of Archeology Presentation

    “Pedestrians As Art: The Archeology of Tattooing,” is the subject of an illustrated lecture by Dr. L. Adrien Hannus, Director of  Augustana's Archeology Laboratory. The presentation is the first in the Third Sunday Archeology Presentation series.

  • Program at Augustana to Examine U.S. National Debt

    Augustana Professor Bob Wright is concerned about the size of the U.S. national debt. For that reason, Wright, the Nef Family Chair of Political Economy, is hosting a presentation of the movie "I.O.U.S.A.," as well as a Q&A session with the Concord Coalition.

  • On Bunny Hill: The Art of Chris Browne

    The first exhibit of 2010 at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery on the Augustana campus features the paintings, drawings, and cartoons of Chris Browne, famed cartoonist of “Hagar the Horrible." The exhibit runs through February 6, and a gallery reception will be held Friday, February 5.

  • H1N1 Flu Shots Available On Campus

    Augustana College will host an H1N1 flu vaccination clinic in the Morrison Commons (Back Alley) on Tuesday, December 15, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. This public health event welcomes all individuals. Effective December 14, all South Dakotans are eligible to receive the H1N1 vaccine.

  • Premier Performance for Augustana Theatrical Society

    The Augustana College Theatrical Society, founded by Augustana students, makes its stage debut with Jean Paul Sartre’s No Exit December 11 and 12 in the Edith Mortenson Center’s Mary Harum Hart Acting Studio.
