• May 9: Concerto-Aria Concert

    The annual Concerto-Aria Concert will feature performances by the four student winners of the Augustana Concerto-Aria Competition and the Augustana Orchestra. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, at the Harrisburg Performing Arts Center.

    Award-winning author Terry Tempest Williams will speak at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, in Kresge Recital Hall. The event is sponsored by the Union Board of Governors' Culture and Fine Arts Committee. Williams will read and discuss themes from her book, "Finding Beauty in a Broken World."

    The Augustana Choir, Angelus and the Collegiate Chorale join forces for a spring concert titled "Hymns of Faith" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

  • May 2-3: Burst of Sign

    Augustana Deaf Awareness will present "Burst of Sign 2014: ASL Idol," an "American Idol"-themed show featuring songs, skits, jokes and stories in American Sign Language. The entire show will be interpreted in sign language. Showtimes are 7 p.m., May 2 and May 3, in Kresge Recital Hall.

    The Augustana Performing and Visual Arts will present "Picnic," a play by William Inge, at 7:30 p.m. on April 30-May 3 in the Edith Mortenson Center Theatre. A matinée performance will also be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
