  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • Through June 1: The Artwork of Jerry Fogg

    The Center for Western Studies' newest exhibit features works by Native American artist Jerry Fogg. "Native Soul: The Artwork of Jerry Fogg" will be on display through Saturday, June 1.

  • Through March 8: Exhibit of Paintings, Pastels by Hinsvark Eide

    The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery features the work of alumna Diane J. Hinsvark Eide '58 in its newest exhibition, "Fruit – Figures – Flora: Paintings and Pastels by Diane J. Hinsvark Eide."

  • Feb. 10: European Tour Homecoming Concert

    Following its 20-day Tour with stops in Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig, Prague, Krakow, Vienna, Bratislava, Salzburg and Munich, the Choir will perform a "European Tour Homecoming Concert" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

  • Feb. 9-10: Card Drive for Children's Care Hospital and School

    Student members of Civitas, the Augustana honors program, are raising money for Children's Care Hospital and School with a Valentine's Day card drive, set for February 9-10 in the Siverson Lounge. For each dollar donated, students will make a card for a child helped by the facility's residential and therapeutic services.

  • Feb. 9: SD FIRST LEGO League Championship

    Augustana will host the fourth annual South Dakota FIRST® LEGO® League Championship from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, in the Elmen Center. More than 300 students from 42 teams across South Dakota will compete at the event dubbed “a sport for the mind.”

  • Feb. 3: A Winter's Tale: "The License of Ink"

    "A Winter’s Tale: The License of Ink" is set for Sunday, Feb. 3, and will feature Dr. Sandra Looney, professor of English, as the mistress of ceremony for a program of literature and music. The event's readers are Tim Shattuck, Melissa Shattuck, Jon Walker, Stephen Williamson, Dorothy Wheeler, and Jean Eidsness.

  • Jan. 31 - Feb. 6: Augustana Band Interim Tour

    The Augustana Band, under the direction of Dr. Paul Schilf, will play eight performances during its Interim 2013 tour of Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota, including a community-wide concert at the Mueller Center in Hot Springs, S.D., on Saturday, Feb. 2.

  • Jan. 20: Third Sunday Archeology to Unveil Recent Discoveries at Kimball Village

    January's installment of Augustana's Third Sunday Archeology Program will feature Lynn Alex, director of Education and Outreach at the University of Iowa's Office of the State Archaeologist. Alex's discussion on "What's Old is New Again: Recent Discoveries at Kimball Village, A.D. 1100-1250" will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Gilbert Science Center Auditorium (GSC #100).

  • Feb. 8: Gallery Reception for “Exploring Abstraction" Exhibit

    “Exploring Abstraction," the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery's newest exhibit, asks viewers this question: Who’s afraid of modern art? The exhibit features 39 works from the Carl Grupp Permanent Art Collection. A gallery reception and director's talk is set for 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

  • Dec. 21-22: "Acoustic Christmas" Performances to Benefit Augustana Performing and Visual Arts

    Proceeds from the Sioux Falls performances of the treasured "A South Dakota Acoustic Christmas" will benefit the Augustana Department of Performing and Visual Arts. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at O'Gorman High School's Lorang Theatre.

  • Augustana in Rapid City

    Join us in Rapid City for Christmas Vespers “Light of My Soul,” a celebration of the birth of Christ featuring Augustana’s four choirs and the orchestra, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Calvary Lutheran Church.
