How to Apply for Student Employment

If you were awarded either Federal Workstudy or Institutional Student Employment, and have never been a student employee at Augustana before, you will need to download, complete and return the following forms to the Financial Aid Office before you will be placed in a position on campus. (See on-campus work study employment opportunities by department or by category for a complete listing).

Student Employment Acceptance Form is the form that the Financial Aid Office uses to assign you to a position on campus. It is important that you be thorough and accurate when completing this form. Jobs are assigned on a first come, first served basis according to the date your Student Employment Acceptance Form is received by the Financial Aid Office.

W-4 Form is required of all students working on campus. Be sure to print your name as it appears on your Social Security Card and use your permanent home address.

You will also be required to complete an I-9 Form before you will be allowed to begin working on campus. This form must be completed in person and requires that you provide actual documentation proving your identity and your eligibility to work in the United States. Click here to access a list of acceptable documentation. We will view this documentation and have you complete an I-9 when you arrive on campus.

If you were not awarded student employment, you may still be eligible for a position. Just complete a Student Employment Inquiry Form and return it to the Office of Financial Aid. You will be placed on a waiting list for job openings as they occur.

If you are interested in off-campus employment, Augustana keeps an updated list of job opportunities on our website. The Career Center Resources contains full time job listings, part time job listings, summer job listings, internship possibilities, internet job searches, and volunteer services.
