A promotion represents both a reward and challenge for you. It is a reward because it is a move to a job with a higher grade and salary, and is something you have earned through your past performance. It is a challenge because it carries increased responsibilities and expectations. A promotion reflects our confidence in your ability to assume greater responsibilities.

Promotional opportunities are sometimes available, because we prefer to promote from within to fill position openings. It is the best way to recognize our top performers and put them in top positions.

You should discuss your goals and career objectives with your administrator. He or she will try to help you by suggesting ways to improve your chances for advancement. (Refer to Money Matters , Promotion Reviews and Increases.)
