Tired of the ads that pop up on your screen when you are on the web? Here are two options for blocking most of these ads. Sometimes useful information is shown to you in a popup window, for those times you can turn off the block and let the window through.
Google Toolbar - The Google toolbar gives you quick access to searching with the Google search engine and also has a built in popup add stopper. It is available for Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP. You must be running Internet Explorer 5.5 for the pop-up blocker to work. The Google blocker allows you to "mark" sites as OK to always show popups.
Pop-Up Stopper - This is a link to the free version of Pop-up Stopper. This software will play a sound each time a pop-up add is blocked.
