In-Room Ethernet Connection
Ethernet connection is a permanent connection to the Augustana Network. This connection is always on.
From this connection you can access
• Augustana's network
• Your Augie e-mail
• Your network storage space
• The laser printer in your residence hall
• The Internet
We recommend
• Windows XP
• at least a Pentium IV, Centrino or Celeron 2 Ghz
• 256MB RAM - 512 recommended
• 10-Base-T (RJ 45 jack) Ethernet card
• 1Gig of available hard drive space
or
A Macintosh computer
• MacOSX
• at least 256MB physical RAM
• 10-Base-T Ethernet card * (RJ 45 jack) or connector
• 1 Gig of available hard drive space
All computers must be working properly and running current virus protection (available at no cost for current Augustana students)
Notice: Machines found to be infected and spreading viruses or comsuming large amounts of network bandwidth will be disconnected from the network without notice or warning. The machine will remain disconnected until the problem or issue is resolved.

Wireless access is also available in limited areas of the Residence Halls.
